Lunch and Learn: How DES is addressing Tariffs

About this event

Tariffs, now what?

During this session you will hear how DES has been addressing requests for guidance from agencies around tariffs' potential effects on their procurements and working to address the tariff impacts on the statewide contracts that are used by state agencies, local governments, tribes, and qualified nonprofits.  We will share some of our lessons learned, current challenges, and  walk through the resources we created in partnership with the Washington State Attorney General’s Office to support our teams and the agencies in addressing any tariff impacts on their own contracts and procurements.

Presented By:

Elena McGrew is a Statewide Enterprise Procurement Manager for the Department of Enterprise Services (DES).  Her team is responsible for providing procurement tools and consultation to other agencies and developing and managing statewide contracts valued over $1.3 billion and utilized by state agencies, institutions of higher education, and local government entities.  Elena is fervent about the mission of public procurement and has over 13 years of procurement experience across state, federal and private industries.

Look forward to seeing you there!
