2026 Procurement Specialist of the Year

As I begin my third term as President, I’m grateful for the trust and partnership of this incredible chapter. It continues to be an honor to serve alongside you while also remaining Co‑Chair of the Emerging Professionals Program, an initiative that reflects our commitment to developing the next generation of procurement leaders.

Our Education and Research Committee is hard at work bringing you classes for your professional development. In addition, our chapter can earn money from the NIGP Learning Giveback Program. For every course our chapter hosts, we’ll earn 10% of gross revenue. These rebates are paid right after the course ends. In addition, For every NIGP member that registers for a NIGP-hosted course that identifies themselves as a member of WANIGP chapter at the time of registration, NIGP will give back 5% of gross revenue for each registration. Please select WA State Chapter of NIGP with every registration. NIGP will pay our chapter earning money from the Giveback Program on a quarterly basis. As part of our initiative in raising funds for Area 8 Regional Conference coming up in Spring 2027. Please take advantage of this opportunity to help our chapter raise funds for a successful event.

Join us bi-monthly on the second Mondays from 2:00-3:00 p.m. for our Emerging Professionals roundtable sessions.... We need to hear from all levels, so we welcome new and seasoned procurement professionals. Bring your
questions or share your expertise, while getting to
know your Washington Chapter peers across our great local public procurement community.

In 2027, Washington will take the host position for the Area 8 Conference, and early planning is already underway. The goal is to continue growing Area 8’s impact by offering even more opportunities to learn, lead, and collaborate. Get Involved—Shape the Conference Experience The Area 8 Conference only succeeds because of the dedication of volunteers from across our region. Whether you want to help long-term or just lend a hand the week of the event, there’s a role for every level of availability.
